Can you help?

Hi!

We’re really close to launching our online store!

This journey started eleven months ago with a bottle of chardonnay and what we like to think was a dare to ourselves: How can we make 2015 different?

We decided to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and create a business (it might have been easier if we had just had one less glass!)

We think we’ve come up with a product that is simple, useful and perfect for anyone concerned about the environment.

However, we need your help as we finalize our launch. Please take a minute to answer the following two questions in the comments below:

  1. Do you use reusable bags when you shop?
  2. If you do, what bags do you usually reach for? If you don’t use reusable bags, why not?

Thank you so much!

Cheers,

PS- If you haven't already, don't forget to sign up for our newsletter before we launch to enter a drawing for a free Jack+Jules!

  • Yes I use re-useable bags 95% of the time for grocery shopping. I have the standard Woolworths ones that have the square base in them as they are perfect for packing. I also have 2 insulated ones for the cold items.
For everyday shopping I never used to carry re-cycleable bags but now I have my Jac & Jules bags I have been using them as much as possible :). Great job ladies xx

  • I try to use my reusable bags, but like most, I forget to bring them into the store with me. I have gotten better and prefer the reusable one. I don’t like the plastic and if I forget my reusable I opt for the paper instead.

  • Hi Jac,
No I never use recycle bags because I forget – I have a couple in the car but never remember them when going into the supermarket. Look forward to viewing the Jac & Jules ange

  • Yes I use them whilst shopping I reach for the insulated ones when the weather is warm. Otherwise I grab any bag collected over the years!

  • Congratulations, Julie!! What a great contribution you are making to the environment!

    1) I recently started using reusable bags and I love using them. I feel like I am making a small positive difference for the environment and I can fit a lot more groceries into my canvas totes. I do sometimes I forget to bring them into the store with me, which I am trying to get better at :-).

    2) I use canvas shopping totes which I like because they hold a lot and can carry a lot of weight. Two of my totes have a cardboard rectangular bottom (which is placed in the bag between the canvas and the inside liner. I like the rectangular bottom because it makes the bag more like a paper grocery bag, but I if the cardboard gets wet, I think the bag will be ruined, so probably a plastic rectangular bottom would work better.

I also have a thin nylon bag I keep in my purse, but wish I had one for my purse that was more fun/stylish.

Can’t wait to see your bag collection!
