Can you help?

Hi!

We’re really close to launching our online store!

This journey started eleven months ago with a bottle of chardonnay and what we like to think was a dare to ourselves: How can we make 2015 different?

We decided to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and create a business (it might have been easier if we had just had one less glass!)

We think we’ve come up with a product that is simple, useful and perfect for anyone concerned about the environment.

However, we need your help as we finalize our launch. Please take a minute to answer the following two questions in the comments below:

  1. Do you use reusable bags when you shop?
  2. If you do, what bags do you usually reach for? If you don’t use reusable bags, why not?

Thank you so much!

Cheers,

PS- If you haven't already, don't forget to sign up for our newsletter before we launch to enter a drawing for a free Jack+Jules!

  • Most of the time I use re-useable but my issue is remembering to take them with me to the supermarket….I do feel guilty when I forget them and have to use plastic bags. I like the ones with a square bottom as they stand up and are easy to pack and unpack.

  • 50:50 own bags vs store bags. When I’m organised it’s my own bags – a combo of major supermarket chains, charity calico numbers, and promo bags. I have rarely had to buy my bags – usually given at charity events or through promo campaigns.

  • Hi Julie – yes, most of the time I do use reusable bags; ones I have acquired over the years. They last a while so I always have some handy; pantry, car, etc for grocer / supermarket shop. If they are in the boot, I forget about them. I also have a small fridge bag I use on hot days for perishables. All the best with your new business venture !

  • I usually use reusable bags, just the Woolworths variety ones, it’s just remembering to put them back in the car.
I had some really good ones that were slightly bigger (longer) so you could fit more in!

  • I don’t tend to use reusable bags because we have a small bin so we reuse the shopping bags as bin liners, however lately I’ve accumulated a lot of excess bags, and a lot with holes that we have to throw away anyway. When I remember I do use reusable bags for say half the shopping but they are cumbersome to carry if I want to do other shopping/jobs first.
